The Slate Phuket

“A masterpiece resort with many gems to discover”

Everything clarified

The Slate Phuket is one of best creations of renowned hotel designer Bill Bensley, inspired by Phuket’s tin mining heritage. It is a magnificent property with lush gardens and plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings. Our personal preference would be to hold the ceremony on the lawn of the Coliseum Garden, have pre-dinner cocktails on the wooden terrace of Rebar, and head over to Black Ginger for the reception after sunset, when the blue lights create a really magical atmosphere. While these options shine, The Slate Phuket offers many other fascinating choices—from the Dirty Monstera Lounge for cocktails to the terraces of the Coliseum Garden or the post-industrial chic of Rivet restaurant for the reception.

Why choose The Slate Phuket

  • A mesmerizing resort with plenty of options to host weddings of any size and style. Make sure to take the complete tour when you visit
  • Wonderful lush gardens all around the property, where we counted at least 8 different species of rare palm trees
  • The Black Ginger Restaurant is a truly magical place that feels coming out of a Miyazaki movie. While the minimum spending for it is slightly higher than other options, we think it will be really hard to resist

Things to be aware of

  • The resort does not directly face the beach, although it is easily reached by a 2-minute walk
  • Each of the locations available for the reception and after-party has different minimum spending. However, such thresholds are generally easily met for groups of 50 guests and above
  • For smaller groups, the 2-bedroom villas within the resort can also be a nice option for a more intimate wedding
  • Make sure to check out the sports bar. Although it cannot be used for the after-party, it can serve as a cool break-out space for the groom and his best men
