10 Questions

Could you tell us about your hometown and any other places that hold a place in your heart?

My hometown is Thung Song in Nakorn Sri Thammarat, a bustling city that retains its local and simple way of life. It's where I grew up surrounded by warmth and authenticity.

When did you first move to Phuket and why?

I first moved to Phuket many years ago when I enrolled in high school here. The decision to move was primarily driven by my educational goals. However, over time, I've grown to love living in Phuket for various reasons beyond just schooling. The vibrant culture, stunning natural beauty, and opportunities for exploration have made it a place I proudly call home. I am also an avid diver and Phuket sea is my favorite place to dive. Seeing sea animals and hidden treasures calms me and helps me focus.

What inspired your choice of becoming a wedding photographer?

Becoming a wedding photographer is deeply rooted in my upbringing and personal experiences. Growing up in a Christian household, the concept of love was ingrained in me from an early age. I witnessed countless church weddings. Each time I couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of joy. I aim to preserve the happiness and emotions of couples, families, and friends, believing that these memories can offer strength and solace during life's challenges. As a wedding photographer, I see my role as more than just documenting events; it's about immortalizing love and spreading joy through my photographs.

What is your favorite moment to capture during a wedding?

Capturing moments during a wedding is always a joy, but if I had to pinpoint one favorite moment, it would be when the father or a close relative of the bride escorts her to meet her groom. It's a powerful symbol of love, trust, and transition as he entrusts her to her future partner. This moment beautifully encapsulates the bond between father and daughter and the timeless connection they share, even as she begins a new chapter in her life.

Is there any photographer or artist who greatly influenced your style?

When it comes to influences on my photography, I draw inspiration from fine art rather than just wedding photography. One artist who stands out to me is Thawan Duchanee, a Thai painter and sculptor known for his fluid lines and emphasis on authenticity. His mantra of "be yourself" resonates with my approach to photography, where I strive to capture genuine moments and emotions. Some may liken my work to the relaxed atmosphere associated with marijuana, but rest assured, my ability to elicit natural smiles comes from creating a comfortable environment, not from any substances.

What camera do you prefer to use?

When it comes to selecting the perfect camera for capturing those unforgettable wedding moments, my top choice is the Sony A9. Its lightning-fast autofocus capabilities ensure that I never miss a beat, especially during those critical, once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Do you have any favorite wedding venues in Phuket that you love to shoot at?

Trisara tops my list of favorite wedding venues. Its secluded villas, oceanview deck and private beach provide the perfect setting for intimate ceremonies. The venue offers endless opportunities for beautiful photographs.

Can you recall a particularly memorable or special wedding you have photographed?

One wedding that left a lasting impression on me was for a couple at Paradise Koh Yao Resort. Before the ceremony started, the groom unexpectedly fell ill. Despite his discomfort, he displayed remarkable resilience and determination to carry on with the ceremony for the love of his partner. He remained composed and devoted throughout the event. Witnessing his unwavering commitment was incredibly touching, and I couldn't help but shed tears behind the camera lens. This wedding taught me a valuable lesson about the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. It was a privilege to document such a heartfelt celebration of love, and it's a memory that will stay with me forever.

If you could go back to any time in history, what famous wedding would you like to photograph?

If I could step back in time to photograph any iconic wedding, I'd choose the union of Korean superstars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo. I'm particularly drawn to Hye Kyo's charm and humor. Imagining capturing their special day fills me with excitement. What makes the wedding even more captivating is the idea of using a classic film camera. In an age dominated by digital photography, the authenticity and intimacy of film would add depth to the memories. Photographing the wedding of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo would be a professional honor and a personal joy, immortalizing their timeless love in images that resonate for years to come.

Lastly, what advice would you give to couples when preparing for their wedding day?

Prioritize your health by choosing nutritious foods leading up to and on your wedding day. Avoid anything risky that could lead to food poisoning and disrupt your celebrations. Stick to light, balanced meals, stay hydrated, and consider doing taste tests for new dishes. By being mindful of what you eat, you can ensure a memorable and comfortable wedding day.
